About the Role

Do you want to strengthen the association life and civil society in Nordost? As a Business Developer for Associations, you and your colleagues work together to support and develop local associations through collaboration, counseling, and development initiatives. The role involves close cooperation with both the association sector and colleagues to create long-term sustainable operations and increased participation in the area.

Civil society organizations bring user and member perspectives, as well as experience, competence, and commitment to substantive issues. In this way, the organizations strengthen the democratic process and contribute to increased participation and the development of a sustainable society.

As a Business Developer, you play a central role in enabling and developing association life in the district through close cooperation with local actors. The assignment involves developing and supporting the local civil society in Nordost to strengthen it and make it long-term sustainable. There is considerable competence in the work group, where you become an important actor with your specific experience and knowledge regarding the challenges of civil society.

In the role, you also handle the processing of grants to children's and youth associations, as well as collaboration between different organizations in the area. Additionally, handling various administrative systems is part of the job duties.

You support and strengthen association life through regular contact and information regarding networks and funding issues. We also look for someone who has an interest in associations and civil society, is easy to collaborate with, and wants to take responsibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a university education relevant to the position, for example within social pedagogy, social work, administrative science, or public health. It is required that you have good knowledge and experience of associations and their conditions. Since a large part of the work involves administration, it is important that you have good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft 365. Experience from working within finance and independently processing cases is considered a merit.

As a person, you are structured and responsible. You need to be receptive and flexible. You take responsibility for your and the joint tasks and can set clear goals and plan activities and projects in good time. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement for the position. We would like you to have experience of multicultural cooperation.

Since you are to strengthen and develop local association life through regular contact and information, it is important that you have good communication skills where you can adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation. It is also important that you have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals.

Some work may take place in the evenings and on weekends.

About Us

The Social Services Administration Nordost works to provide residents in northeastern Gothenburg with equal and effective welfare with the possibility to live safe and independent lives. The administration provides support to individuals and families according to the Social Services Act. We also offer activities and meeting places that can give children and young people a meaningful leisure time. Furthermore, the administration works actively with crisis support, security issues, association life, public health, and contacts with residents and civil society.
